Morni...!!!

Love, whenever these four letters enter our lives, the meaning of life changes. Everything looks lovely. Trees shower flowers on you, winds bring the smell of the one you love, chirping of birds sounds like symphony. You want to be with that person all the time. You call each other numerous times, but dont even say a word. Even silence is worth millions. Repeating the same things again and again doesn't bore you anymore, rather the person saying these things to you, bring freshness in the words. Meanings become more important that the conversation. You don't realize whether the alarm clock is showing the right time or running very fast. This is the feeling of , LOVE.

But love isn't always in being with the one you love. Love isn't always in sharing the ice creams and having a walk on grass, hands in hands, barefooted. Love isn't always receiving, its giving your self for the one you love. I often end up this discussion by humming a folk song, Morni. The song displays the true meaning of love. A peahen interacts with her mother as her lover is still not home. She is worried for him. Different thoughts go past her mind. Seeing her condition, the mother asks....

“O Dear Daughter, why do u sound so low. You don't eat anything, neither do you drink, its a great time to go out and spread happiness and warmth all around. What prevents you from being a part of the occasion?”
“Mother, my lover is still not home. When he sings, my sleeps vanish, his mere presence gives life to my songs. And as he is not here, i feel worried.”
“There are hunters in the jungle, i fear some one has hunted him down with his gun, and ur lover may be lying calling for you...”. “O mother, please don't say like this, let them put him in cage and take him away if they want to, but i Pray to Lord that they don't kill him”.
The wait gets longer, the peacock is still not home. The peahen fears the worst, and is heartbroken. She wants to wait for him forever. She asks her mother, ”Where does this moon goes, and where go the stars, where do the ones we love, disappear and why they go far...”.
“The moon hides, and so do the stars, but those we love always stay in our hearts and never go far...”

And the conversation ends... but the love that the peahen had for her lover, touches the souls.
We often feel we lost the ones we had loved but we don't realize that love never dies. It stays untill the word holds its meaning... Love stays...
